Aberaeron 69 Neyland 3
As per the previous week Parc Drefach was blessed with perfect weather and again as per the previous week Aberaeron were slow out of the blocks and making a slow  start full of mistakes. The game was competitive for the first quarter with Neyland putting up a decent performance and it took a fine move for the hosts to open the scoring. That went to centre Dyfrig Dafis who was to enjoy an excellent afternoon. Despite being wide with the conversion attempt outside half Rhodri Jenkins soon added a penalty only for Neyland to reply with one of their own. Dafis then broke through to allow wing Bleddyn Thomas to finish off the move this time Jenkins successful for the added points. Following on from his strong performance against Tregaron scrum half Gareth James continued in the same vein with a powerful break and a final pass to Jenkins to cross and this was quickly followed by a another try by full back Morgan Llewelyn for Jenkins to convert and a 27-3 score at the break. Similar service was resumed after the turnaround with flanker Aaron Lewis powering over the line Jenkins again continuing his success with the boot. Neyland were finding the pace of the Aberaeron backline difficult to withstand and the pacy Dafis soon added his second and it took little time for the centre to register his hattrick with both tries successfully converted. Another strong break by Gareth James released full Llewelyn and the full back made the conversion easy by touching down under the posts. With Neyland losing their their discipline at this point a flurry of yellow cards really exposed their defence and it was of little surprise that the rout was completed with a try each by Oliie Sawyer and a fourth of the afternoon for Dafis. Jenkins raised his personal tally to 24 points with a further 2 successes completing a comprehensive display and keeping pace at the helm of  Division 3 West A. Next up is Pembroke Dock on Saturday before the crunch encounter with Milford the following week.
